Zanzibar and Comoro signed MOU for business and trade development among the two countries

THE Comorian Union Chambers o Commerce, Industry and Agriculture UCCIA and their counterpart from Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture ZNCCIA put hands to gather as a symbol of unity after they have signed MoU that aiming to foster business and trade development among the two countries during the ceremony in Moron. THE Comorian Union Chambers o Commerce, Industry and Agriculture UCCIA has signed MOU with their counterpart Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture  ZNCCIA which aim to foster  business and trade development among the two countries.

The signing ceremony took place yesterday in Comoro Capital city Moroni between UCCIA President Fahmy Thabit and NCCIA Vice President, Ali About Mzee and it was witnessed by the Mtwara Regional Commissioner, Halima Dendego and Air Tanzania Limited (ATCL) Acting Director, Johnson Mfinanga.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, UCCIA President Thabit  commended the effort made by Ocean Business Partners, Gallery Tours to unite business community from Tanzania and Comoro which will help exchange of knowledge and trade relations among them.

He said despite the fact that Tanzania and Comoro are very near by boundaries but this is the firt time to have such kind of MoU which will cement the long relationship between  those two countries.
“This is historical event and will remain in our history forever, for sure this MOU will link our people in business because we believe we can work together  for the benefit our our two countries,” he said.

ZNCCIA Vice President, Mzee said  the MoU signed will help provide them with a commuted approach to working together more closely situation that will allow them to reach their common goals.

“In Pursuit of   the internalization of trade each side will expose every significant opportunity which is available in our countries  I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone whose dedication and effort  have contributed to the finalization o this MoU ,”

He gave special thanks to the meeting organizers whose their insight, goodwill and friendship have made the signing of the MoU  a reality adding that he is confident through their efforts and commitment ZNCCIA will do whatever will do in order to provide a successful implementation of   the signed MoU.

On his side, Mtwara Regional Commisioner, Halima Dendego said the signing of that Mou does not mean that it is the end of the road but soon Mtwara is going to sign another MoU with Commoro and she invited business community to visit the region.

“This was wonderful meeting and I have gathered all useful information to share with business community in Mtwara, we are expecting another big meeting this month in Mtwara you are all invited to attend so that you can see what is available in our region,” said Dendego.

 The Chief executive Officer of Ocean Business Partners, Abdulsamad Abdulrahim who is part of the meeting organizers said some business delegation from Tanzania have already secured up to four business contract in Comoro.
