Arsenal
TARGETS: Wilfried Zaha (C Palace), Demba Ba (Newcastle), Nani (Man Utd).
BUDGET: £30million CHANCES: High. Arsenal are desperate for a striker and all are possible signings — if Arsene Wenger is prepared to fork out the asking price.
Aston Villa
TARGETS: Luke Murphy (Crewe), John Guidetti (Man City), Glenn Murray (Palace), James Henry (Millwall).
BUDGET: £5million CHANCES: Slim to none, though Paul Lambert’s budget could change if Darren Bent is sold.
Chelsea
TARGETS: Andre Schurrle (B Leverkusen), Radamel Falcao (Atletico Madrid), Paulinho (Corinthians), Joao Moutinho (Porto).
BUDGET: £75million CHANCES: Falcao will cost £50m and a central midfielder is needed if Frank Lampard leaves.
Everton
TARGETS: Jack Butland (Birmingham), Vegard Forren (Molde).
BUDGET: £6million CHANCES: David Moyes has such a tight budget he is likely to end up with just loan players. Old boys Tim Cahill and Landon Donovan are possible.
Fulham
TARGETS: Vegard Forren (Molde), Darren Bent (Aston Villa), BUDGET: £10million CHANCES: It’s 50-50. Martin Jol could be tempted to strengthen. Might go for Bent if he becomes available at a decent price.
Liverpool
TARGETS: Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea), Thomas Ince (Blackpool), Burak Yilmaz (Galatasaray). BUDGET: £28million CHANCES: Good. Sturridge is effectively a done deal, while late competition for Ince is unlikely to sway him away from an Anfield return.
Man City
TARGETS: Alen Halilovic (Dynamo Kiev), Paulinho (Corinthians) Daniele de Rossi (Roma), Fernando Llorente (A Bilbao).
BUDGET: Unlimited CHANCES: City have no plans to spend big in January, unless they have an injury crisis or a huge offer for Mario Balotelli.
Man Utd
TARGETS: Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Victor Wanyama (Celtic), Alen Halilovic (D Kiev), Robert Lewandowski (B Dortmund) Ezequiel Garay (Benfica).
BUDGET: £20million CHANCES: Very slim. Alex Ferguson has said he will ‘definitely not’ be signing anyone in January.
Newcastle
TARGETS: Tom Ince (Blackpool), Loic Remy (Marseille), Mathieu Debuchy (Lille) Douglas (Twente).
BUDGET: £15million CHANCES: Fairly low. Remy is in demand along with Ince and Debuchy. Brazilian defender Douglas could be a goer.
Norwich
TARGETS: Danny Graham (Swansea), Cameron Jerome (Stoke), Matt Phillips (Blackpool).
BUDGET: £5million CHANCES: Good. Norwich are having a storming season and have identified some sensible targets. Boss Chris Hughton insists no one will be leaving.
QPR
TARGETS: Michael Dawson, Scott Parker (both Spurs), Nicolas Anelka (Shanghai Shenhua), Joe Cole (Liverpool).
BUDGET: £13million CHANCES: Have every chance of getting Cole on loan but Spurs have told them to forget about Dawson and Parker.
Reading
TARGETS: Lee Camp (N Forest), Paul Robinson (Blackburn). Roman Pavlyuchenko (Lokomotiv Moscow).
BUDGET: £5-£10million CHANCES: Unknown. The Royals are in desperate need of some new recruits if they are serious about beating relegation.
Southampton
TARGETS: Abdul Kader Keita (free), Scott Dann (Blackburn), Matt Besler (Kansas City).
BUDGET: £5million CHANCES: Good. There should be some money available to boss Nigel Adkins, who needs to boost his defensive options.
Stoke
TARGETS: Danny Simpson (Newcastle), Chung-Yong Lee (Bolton), Marko Marin (Chelsea), Atiba Hutchinson (PSV), Martin Olsson (Blackburn).
BUDGET: £2-£3million CHANCES: Low. Tony Pulis needs to move players out if he wants to raise transfer funds.
Sunderland
TARGETS: Danny Rose (Spurs), Gary Hooper (Celtic), Danny Graham (Swansea) BUDGET: £8million CHANCES: Fair. Sunderland have a good chance of signing Rose on a permanent deal from Spurs. Boss Martin O’Neill could be tempted to add another striker.
Swansea
TARGETS: Christophe Berra (Wolves), Ryan Fraser (Aberdeen), BUDGET: £4million CHANCES: Excellent. If Swans keep targets realistic, then boss Michael Laudrup has every chances of signing them. Has already proved a good operator in the transfer window with Michu capture.
Spurs
TARGETS: Joao Moutinho (Porto), Christian Eriksen (Ajax).
BUDGET: £25million CHANCES: Spurs almost signed Portuguese playmaker Moutinho in the last window and chairman Daniel Levy could be tempted to resurrect that deal to boost the North Londoners’ top-four hopes.
West Brom
TARGETS: No names on the radar until next summer.
BUDGET: £0 unless there is an emergency.
CHANCES: No chance. Boss Steve Clarke has made it clear Albion are unlikely to buy next month, although loan signings are a possibility if needed. That is despite Baggies’ recent loss of form.
West Ham
TARGETS: Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Faouzi Ghoulam (St Etienne), Joe Cole (Liverpool) Andreas Cornelius (FC Copenhagen), BUDGET: £10million CHANCES: Good. Boss Sam Allardyce has been linked with several players but his priority will be keeping hold of Mohamed Diame.
Wigan
TARGETS: Roger Espinoza (Sporting Kansas City), Ryan Fraser (Aberdeen), Christophe Berra (Wolves).
BUDGET: £4million CHANCES: Excellent. A deal for Espinoza looks nailed on after he was granted a work permit while Fraser and Berra are realistic targets. Defenders are a priority for Latics.
