Background

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in Collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the University of Augustinho Netto of Angola (UAN) have established a joint MSc. Program in the areas of Petroleum Engineering and Petroleum Geoscience. Through this program already 10 students from Tanzania are at NTNU pursuing the programs. More students are expected to be enrolled under the program for the successive years.

Applications are therefore invited from qualified candidates for scholarships to pursue Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering and  Petroleum Geosciences (2012-2014). The scholarship provides for Students from Tanzania to spend one year at NTNU in Norway and the second year at the University of Dar es Salaam for the project work. The second year of project work will be supported by Professors from NTNU, UDSM and field experts from exploration companies operating in Tanzania.

M.Sc. Petroleum Engineering and M.Sc. In Petroleum Geoscience
These two international Master programmes are taught in English, and fully integrate Norwegian and foreign students. The programmes focus on the following areas of activity:
